Since we are all on different paths to that enlightenment and began our journeys at different times, we can't be expected to arrive at the same conclusions at the same time. Relax and do your part to complete the journey. You don't need to do more than that for all the pieces to fit together. Find your unique place and nestle into the beautiful overall picture. We are all part of this puzzle.

I do not know.....probably never.
Most people are at constant war within themselves...id vs. superego, old vs. new, life vs. death. Those who are at war with themselves do things to others that are horrible....warfare is just an example. Abuse of any other person is a better example of this. Life in modern society is full of examples of people who are not at peace with themselves.
Total acceptance is difficult when great numbers of the people abuse others in thought or action. It is difficult to ask that an abused teen accept his abuser for what he is...or that the battered woman accept her husband as the abusive man he is. It is equally difficult to contemplate a victim of murder accepting his assailant. For an entire nation of people to make war on another seems logical, given the aggressive nature of humans.
Attaining a path to enlightmenment is indeed a grand goal, but most will never be able to see it, as long as there is want and greed in human nature.

I presume you mean 'acceptance'.
And I gotta tell ya, total acceptance of all sounds like the true path into a predators belly.
Don't try the Zen crap on the Serengeti.

In my opinion the true path to enlightenment is when we understand how to live 'with' nature and not try to 'conquer' nature. Then we will be one with the universe. Just my opinion though. Feel free to object.

True path?
Oppose to what? The untrue one?
Total acceptance (assume that's what you mean with exceptance?) of all what? How do you mean?
How do YOU know what the path to enlightenment is? Have you trodden along it then? Please DO tell all.

All things that exist are already in a state of acceptance of all the rest, from grains of wheat to the Sun and stars and the Moon and the oceans upon the Earth, and mountains and clouds all are part of one magnificent clock-work. The question of acceptance therefore is not for the things in general nature. It is a question present most peculiarly only in human nature, in rationally critical states of human mind. And even here we find that human mind, being also part of general nature, is already in a state of acceptance in its essence. The question therefore is reduced to the matters of ego that we have when we interface with an instinctual world inside and a world of rational mind outside.
But we must not try to suppress or crush ego, as this power in our mind is there for a purpose, for the purpose to make a living out all that mess of purposes criss-crossed and interests heavily vested upon by numerous sources of interest. Human egotistical mind must interact with other entities in the world but it must not either categorically reject all, or accept all without question.
Acceptance is essential to my mind, for instance, and I have no problem accepting acceptance as governing principle in my relation to the world that I call mine, to its people and to the things that make part of it. The problem however is that I really do not know if I should, or even if I could, ever accept all people the same way, or the way I see fitting. For if I attempt to do just that, however honestly and sincerely, there are always chances for me to act like an impostor, imposing my rigid view upon all that comes within the range of my experience. I therefore could not adopt acceptance a discipline for being without sufficient information, knowledge and experience to constitute a body of conventional wisdom for my judgement, and even then I have to keep myself updated about all things I have accepted, or the things I am considers still.
I understand that like everyone else you would like to be accepted in this world, but would you happy being accepted just about any way, without introducing yourself and without taking into consideration how people take you? Wouldn’t you like to keep your friendships under constant repairs - as it has been advised, and changes of all sorts possible for development and growth?
When we seek enlightenment we come to accept the life we are first of all. And here we find that the source of enlightenment is the eternal moment that we are now, that the door of enlightenment has never been far from us, and if there can be complete acceptance any where in the world then this is where it is, accept this moment in existence alone and you will accept all in essence.

If children being sexually and physically abused would just accept it, they would be enlightened? If children sold into slavery and prostitution would just accept it, they would be enlightened?
As you can see, acceptance is problematic.
