Yes, going barefoot is more comfortable and relaxing. I am barefoot almost all the time with flip flops only when dangerous so it is not much of an issue for me anymore.
Before however when i used to wear uncomfortable shoes, like my school uniform shoes I would take them off and put them in my bag along with my socks and go barefoot.
If I wasn't at school and my feet were hurting then I would take the shoes off and throw them in the nearest bin with my socks following soon after and walk in bare feet.

If I am in a place where I can take my shoes off, I will. But there have been times when I would not and my feet began to hurt. I would suffer with a smile and say little prayers for relief.

I walk in the door, shoes come off, socks come off, and feet hit the floor. I also see that most of the barefoot answerers have been ladies."What a place to hang out if you have a foot fetish!" lol. I hate shoes.

Take my shoes off whenever I enter a house. I've been living in Japan for more than a year. I think it's a habit that makes a lot of sense.

Yes I hate blisters on my feet. I drove last week without shoes because my feet hurt so bad and that's illegal to do, at least in my state.
