Having finally heard ahmadinejad's speech and answers, which unlike the build up, unsuprsingly received little media coverage. I have to say that he has proved himself to be more intelligent and in favour of peace and genuine reform than GW Bush. His points were accurate and free of bigotry,(apart from hating homo's) And all attacks ive seen against him are hate fuelled rambling. People can't attack what he says so they attack his character.

There is nothing that America accuses the so called 'bad guys' of doing, that america itself has not done

David Goldstein: is ur name a reference to the jewish terrorist? any way i think u will find he had nothing to do with that, and neither did the Palestinians, so why the holocaust is being used 60 years later, to punish a people who had nothing to do with it is beyond me.

I saw an intelligent, reasonable, thoughtful, polite, real person with a sense of humor, a sense of history.....I did not see a fool like I do when Bush speaks.

I had the same reaction. However, I do so wish that he were a little wiser about the world's 'reactiveness.' He's 'on a roll,' then suddenly puts his foot in his mouth. The insulting introduction to his speech was appalling and the silly media reaction is similar to the lead-up in the Iraq debacle. Now, we have the Majlis and Congress throwing stones as well. Very disheartening.

"No Jeering or very own assaults,or throwing issues at him,or the myriad of issues that take place each time a "Conservative" speaker is invited to a school these days." Any evidence of this accusation you're making? i did no longer think of so. the scholars and facility listened and for the main area disagreed with Ahmadinejad. yet i assume you % to believe otherwise. stop being considered one of those stool and strengthen up and study to think of for your self, something those at Columbia are interior the skill of discovering.

No!

He says one thing in front of "our" people then when he got back to Iran he started his "hate" speeches again. Just because he pretends to be a kind and loving person ONE time does not make it so! He is an evil tyrant that wants to rule the world under Islamic terror. He is not a representation of the Islamic people.

This is how Hitler won over the people and how the Nazi's were formed.

Have you not heard his hate speeches? His plan to kill millions of Jews and "wipe them off the face of the Earth"? What about hes hatred for the "West"?

lmao. the guy denies the holocaust ever happened, hates jews, gays and western civilization. maybe he didnt say it in his speech here in the US but hes made it clear before. and have you ever heard of acting? he came over here to suck up to us for whatever reason, not to try to change our viewpoints on gays. pull your head out of whatever hole its in.

"There is nothing that America accuses the so called 'bad guys' of doing, that america itself has not done"

might be somewhat true, but he seems like he wants to start something so we really dont want him to have nuclear weapons. and on a side note, nuclear weapons dont care if you like him or not so if youre in the US or other country he hates youre at as much risk as everybody else

That's how its done here in America, Americans too often rely on sound bite politics, fed by the main stream media to form small, uneducated opinions about complex issues. When one however does look further into any of our foreign policies, one thing becomes very clear,America is indeed a terrorist Nation.

Globalization is about dominating the globe's natural resources with few or no barriers. Neo-liberalism is about dominating everything so that the quest for capital becomes the universal human value. Human beings either acquiesce or perish.

Neo-liberalism is the industrialization of everything. From industrialized warfare to agriculture, from industrialized prisons and the "justice" system to the pharmaceutical and "health care" system, neo-liberalism creates a bland narrow band of products designed to control consumer's options while cleverly masquerading as choice. People insisting on alternatives to the "free-market" are considered as being out of the mainstream. They are viewed as not being normal. "If you are not with us, you are against us", is neo-liberalism's mantra. Neo-liberalism demands that people do not question nor complain. And so, we accept the advertising lies and claims, the proclamations of the "news" industry. We accept the fraud that products are not as advertised, or of poor quality. Free people do not accept the lies of the established order. Nor do they obediently accept their exploitation under the guise of patriotism. So why do we put up with neo-liberalism? Why do we accept the lies? Why do we accept the industrialization of everything? Why do we quietly accept the product that we purchase when it is inferior, broken, repulsive, dangerous or contrary to our own interests?

LOL the guy is a flat out nut. Yes, he was restrained in his speech making. Which is very odd and totally out of character for him. If you want to know the real man. Just watch the videos of his many other speech making trips.

I was not proud of Columbia for inviting him in the first place. I don't need to play with a snake to identify a snake.

Don't try to force thinking Americans to see this your way. You are only revealing your own lack of discernment.

Words need to reflect actions. Nothing Ahmadinejad has done reflects that his "words" were anything but propaganda.
