yes they can handle the pressure, do you realize how much pressure they've had this year and it didn't stop them.....they dealt with multiple injuries, the most in the NL and they are still out there playing the game the way it should be played....no they did not blow it, if anybody you should be asking if the mets blew it already.......

Well being a Mets fan, I can say that although not happy with how we went out. If I could pick one team to do this thing, it's definitely the Phillies. I think they are going to do just fine. The pressure is there of course, but they seemed to handle it this season very well, and they had quite a bit of pressure leading up to this, and handled it like pros and look how far it got them. I think they want this to much to blow it.

i don't think that's a good excuse though .. pressure ? everyone has pressure and their soo used to it by now .. I think it's upsetting but what can you do about it ... the fans were completley dead yesterday which was a let down .. cheer em on u never know! ... the Phills are unpredictable u never know because they kinda do this to us all the time .. they'll win like 4 games in a row than they turn back around and loose another 2 or 3 .. then all of a sudden they'll come back ... just sit back and enjoy we're tied for 1st ;)

well...when you have a team like the Mets right on your tails...it's kinda hard NOT to have some pressure. We were out of first for 1 day but got right back into it with a thrashing of the Marlins yesterday.
