Yes I do, Ali J. However I accept it as part of my present situation and predicament. It has helped me, having become Buddhist to embrace both pain and joy with equal capacity. Because both exist.
A considerable while ago, I made the decision to face or confront everything as it came to me. I no longer really say 'This particular situation is so painful, that I can not, or will, not go on'...I simply confront it and do as best I can with it, until it changes or if it should remain, I can strategize as to how to deal with it. Or live with it. Knowing that so much of life is suffering, the spiritual or emotional pain, (I believe you are speaking about(?) is more accepted by me and worked with so that it becomes a lesser burden to bear.
Having been practicing this has made me a stronger person
because I am finally able to deal with the 2 sides of the coin, which Life hands you.
It has been a long time now, little brother, that you have progressively FOCUSED on the "pain" alone. Is there no source of Joy which you'd acknowledge in your life?
I would STRONGLY recommend to you, BECAUSE I CARE FOR YOU, that you focus on the positive as well, in whatever situation which is affecting you so severely.
For focusing only on the negative and losing more and more sight of the positive will take you into such depths of sadness and sorrows, that you'll have tremendous difficulty getting OUT!!!
I plead with you that you make a decision, then with devoted determination to snap yourself from getting into a whirlpool of such ailing-spiritedness, that only bad things will result from not attempting to break from your ache. The ache you feel is universal! We all have it, although in great diversity, But WE ALL SUFFER FROM IT!
Do not continue to be so severely affected, if you care for yourself. And the sake of your survival...and if you care for others that care for you, Ali J. I care very much for you and worry much that as of lately, since I've returned to the website, primarily for you, you have spoken only of an ailing heart, perhaps beyond repair. This is not so! The Christians have a saying : "This too shall pass!" I like that because it speaks of hope and change, past any kind of pain!
As Always,
Abi G.

A pain that can't be cured is knowing someone doesn't care about me. I think it can be cured when the right someone comes along and does care about me. Until then, it stays a pain.
A problem that can't be solved is that I am too nice and caring. I can't solve that because it's just who I am.

YES my brother and my sister are a royal pain in my a s s because they both refuse to move out of my parents house (they are 40 and 42!!)and they are sucking the retirement money and life right out of them!!! My parents are miserable and the only time my parents get to relax is when they come to visit me!!! AND THAT IS WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS!
(and yes I know that if my parents want to change it, then they have to~but my parents don' t believe in putting their kids out of the house to the street etc!!! been through this one already!)

Hi, AJ! Glad to see you.
Yes, I do, unfortunately. My son has an illness that has no cure. Yet. As he's not the only one, I take it one day at a time, and hope.
He doesn't whine about it, ever.... so I follow his lead. }:>
**for AJ with Depression.. Me, too. Best advice I have? We're still breathing, so we're winning! Hang tough. (We meet once a year, in Yankee stadium...) as there are so many of us, make your reservation early!

nope i dont have any incurable pain, its just a matter of mind, self healing sounds difficult but once you give yourself enough affirmation, things will come out easy. What's past is over. We can't change it. Enjoy the sweet memories. Let the bad experiences be a valuable lesson to us. Learn from them
