Because it move the idle mind , and thus a source of new ideas that are changing the face of the world, and also it is one of the things that make us aware the fact of things and reach targets deep and distant from phenomena which We are used to look at it as normal or no value.

lets break it down.. philosophy.. from two latin words "philos" and "sophus" which means love for knowledge... for people who enjoy the challenge of for the pure joy of thinking and reasoning out any issues about the world or anything in the universe for that matter would have so much pleasure in learning philosophy...
coz in truth, if you are a philosopher, noone can tell you otherwise that you're ideas are stupid or absurd, unless of course you do into arguments that have been disproved like a thousand years ago.. so yeap.
i think the simple pleasure of tackling the complexities of the bounds of human comprehension in whatever subject matter makes philosophy an awesome thing. yeap, you dont need to beat yourself up with all the tiny details about whatever, but you can enjoy presenting and discovering new ideas and concepts about life, death, nature, technology, or whichever.

I find it very rewarding to think about all the philosophies that humans have come up with. Some I would never have thought of and sometimes a philosopher comes up with something that I can really get a handle on. Humans are the most interesting thing in the universe to me.
