I am looking for an accelerated RN or BSN school. I've already got a BS in another discipline (Japanese), so I am looking for a school that accepts credits from another college so I would be eligible for a 1 year RN track.

Got any suggestions?

Thanks!

NO such thing as a 1 year RN accelerated program. The minimum is 2 years, no matter how brilliant you think you are.

I seriously doubt you'll be able to find a quality 1 year RN program, even with the credits you already have.

My fiancee is in a hospital-based nursing school. It is a school sponsored by a local major hospital system. Consider a program like that. I'm sure there are many such schools across the country. They tend to be excellent because you get real world experience throughout your schooling. They make you work with real nurses once every two weeks or so. They also offer loan forgiveness if you agree to work for their hospital system for a number of years. Those programs tend to last about 2 years, and the accelerated programs last about a year and a half. In my opinion the program my lady is in is every bit as good as, if not better than, the nursing program at the local 4-year university, mainly because of the real world expereince she's getting. The curriculum is rigorus too...If timing is your main criterium, that might be your best bet.

Not 100% sure, but look into the UBATC in Roosevelt and Vernal Utah. They work through another college in Utah for the nursing program. I hear it is much faster to be admitted into this one then the college they are getting the accreditation from.
I am thinking they have a 1 year LPN program, then another year for RN, They do have a lot of open entry open exit programs, so you might be able to finish faster.
A link is in the source list.

God help a one year RN Program. The minimum is 2 years. Who would want an RN with only one year of experience coming at you. Not me!
