If you get pooed on by a bird, you are lucky that you don't get psittacosis and die.

I think it could have started as a way to pacify the person ,who in the name and hope of a good luck may easily forgive the bird instead of thinking to kill it.There are so many such other minor beliefs where the aim is to soothe the ruffled feathers than any thing else.

Well if a bird poo's on your shoulder.....do you consider it lucky? If not, that must make it unlucky right? Haha.

It's a consolation, it's nasty if it happens and very unlucky to have happened, so seeing as the bad luck has happened and then some, you're due for some good luck right.

birds are far above human beings up the sky, faster, see what you cannot see, look prettier without cloths or bathing like you & me, so why won't their poo be a sign of luck?

Beats me. Any bird that does that to me faces the wrath of Sal, especially if I just got my hair done.
