If you were an infantryman in WW2 ?

if you had the choice, what would you choose as your personal weapons ?
I think I would of preferred a Thompson machine-gun and a large knife, since Thompson's weren't equipped with bayonets. How about you ?

One M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle, one 7.5-8.5 inch blade combat knife, two 5 inch blade survival knives (I'd like to have an M1918 BAR, but it would add too much weight to what I already had.)

The Thompson machine-gun was a short range weapon suitable for house to house or close combat situations, but the majority of battles took place over the killing range of the Thompson, so the rifle was the preferred weapon of choice because it had the Superior range.

StG44, or SturmGewehr 44. German weapon late in the war.

The first assault rifle. It had a less powerful round than the standard rifle, because it was found that most combat ranges really did not require a full power rifle cartridge. But it was still capable of full auto for close quarters, and had long enough range to be useful in the field.

Second choice would be the US M1 Garand. Solid, reliable weapon. Very well made with few flaws. BAR was nice too, but very heavy.

If I lived during the Japanese occupation, I will kill them using the following:

1 Tommy Gun with 1 plate magazine (50 rounds)
1 German Luger
1 All Purpose Knife
4 Hand Grenades
2 Flash bang
2 Smoke Grenade
3 Morphine
1 Night Vision goggles
1,000,000 Strengthen
1,000,000 Hunger less

A PPS-43 I would say a BAR but that doesn't really count as a personal weapon.

minimi light machine gun, accuracy international L96A1, M4 outfited with grenade launcher and um thats about it.
