I have had knee replacements on both knees. One was operated on last March2005 and the other one on December 2006,They are now both nicely healed and I can honestly say I am so glad I had the operations because now I am reaping the benefits.Admittingly it is quite painful afterwards but no pain no gain. The operations were carried out at Colchester General Hospital,Essex. The after care was absolutely wonderful. All the staff were very caring and helpful .Nothing was too much for the doctors or nurses and they all went out of there way to help you and make you as comfortable as they could.Good-luck to a job well done.

My grandma had her knee replaced a few months ago. She had a lot of pain and difficulty in bending her knee for weeks after the operation. But eventually after doing all the exercises on a regular basis she now has a fully functioning knee with no pain. So in conclusion, it wont be an at all pleasant time, but in the long run they will be far better off.

My mum`s friend had them done, 1 was more painful than the other but walked well after recovery. I`m having my hip resurfaced on 24th October, let you know how that is.
