Obviously. Think about it--the embargo was put in place 45 years ago in an effort to destabilize the Castro regime. All it's done is create animosity toward the US in Latin America and allowed Castro to gain legitimacy by "standing up to the imperialistic Yankees." And there is absolutely no indication that this policy is--or ever will--have any negative effect on the Communist regime in Cuba. Its long past time Washington admitted this policy does not work and tried something else.
Einstein said "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." That is an accurate description of our current Cuban policy: insane.

If there were any time, in the history of our policy, that it could be most effective...it is the time of Castro's passing and change of administration. Although his is recovering well...he's not got much longer.
To remove sanctions from Cuba in it's current state of tyrannical dictatorship, is to guarantee another generation of the same.

Yes we should. What makes Cuba any worse than China? We have no restrictions on trade or travel with China.

Of course we should. We deal with some of the most repressive regimes in the world and choose to ignore a tiny little nation that can do us no harm because of a small but vocal group of expatriots that live in an influential electoral state.
