It is amazing and sad that the people of this country continue to vote, even though the majority of this country know that politicians lie in order for their party to gain power.
With their empty promises and lies, once in power the people of this country are no longer of importance, the referendum promised by a party once thought to be the People's party are just the same as the rest.
The three gangs of politicians who claim Parliament has their own, spend time jeering and poking fun at each other, even daring to sleep in full view of the country on TV.
Having once again sent brave soldiers to a war which has been proven was based on lies yet again, when will the people of this country opened their eyes.
If the people who become politicians had respect for the people they would not lie, it is not time for change and give power back to the people, and make it a duty as a politician to serve the people and were lies lead to death prison most surely follow, and were lies for political gain or personal gain removal from political life period.

LOL... I'm from the USA but have seen an occasional session of Parliament on one of our TV stations here that broadcasts some of our sessions of Congress. I thought you folks were much livelier, so I'm surprised that anyone could sleep through it!
Seriously though, I do relate to your frustration because many of our politicians are also liars and cheats, having been corrupted by power. I find it disturbing that we (the people) have almost become immune to the corruptions. It's no surprise to hear about it anymore, the news is only that the 'scumbag du jour' got caught. Perhaps you've noticed also the troubling trend of ignoring the faults of 'our guys' while highlighting the faults of the 'other guys'. I think we need to kick them all to the curb! But our cynical side says an 'honest politician' is an oxymoron. Sorry, no answers here mate, only empathy.

Well... are you suggestion that voting is the answer or the problem?
It sounds like you live in England or some other European country. I'd suggest you look up the word "Megalomaniac" or perhaps "Totalitarianism" and see if they have what you're looking for.
Otherwise... keep giving that vote thing a try. You might also consider coming up with some good ideas instead of whining.

Saddam had Chemical weapons, he used em on both his Enemy (Iran) and his own people, (Kurds).

I think its a hoot that some of the morons vote for a candidate based on their political party. And the tards will admit it. Ask some of them why they voted for bush or gore, they will admit they did so because of what they are registered as.
guy#1: "who did you vote for?
guy#2:"I voted for bush"
guy#1:"why? Because of his platform?"

I understand where your coming from, but its easier to accept a lie that the truth. They will tell you anything to get elected, hell they'll even kiss you and tell you they love you!!! Then you push their button on election day, then you find out they told everyone else the same thing.
