The new belt will not fit around the drive shaft can I strech this to make it fit without doing any harm to the belt.
Any help would be great.

as long as the new belt is the proper length, it will fit, and as it hasn't stretched yet, it will go on pretty tight. be careful and don't pinch your fingers in the process. good luck

Look on the idle pulley side. There should be a screw, a bolt or some sort of adjustment that will let the pulley loose so you can put the belt on then re tighten the belt again.
There has to be a way to put this on like this. Look real close. If not, then the drive side. Then you simple tighten the belt again.

Put belt on motor side and walk it around the tranny side it will take some force from you...if there is a h2o pump put belt around it 1st
