eh, its actually about a 16 year old guy living with abusive parents then finally having enough and attempting to kill himself. He then awakes in the hospital, witnessing his parents being arrested and his new foster parents looking over him.
the lines "The sky is above me, the ground is below me, and that will never change"
its referencing the fact that he's happy to be alive, and regrets commiting suicide.

Look, i don't mean to offend, but you asked for opinions. Am i the only one who thinks this song is the pure $HITE? I'm sorry, but that is terrible, you repeat the same words like a million times and its so typical and cliche, with the acoustic at the start and then instrumental break out. The lyrics are quite stupid at parts. Really, keep the day job.

um.....if your going for a very loud depressing song where you cant make out the words because of all the screaming then yea its a good song. Maybe fiddle with the dying bits a little, and if possible you could be a bit more broard on why that person was so selfish? i do like it, its a bit angry but i like it.

If it shouldn't sound emo, then you're in the wrong direction. the lyrics itself is about a person who lost a lover, and still wants the person for the past 16 (!) years, committed suicide out of desperation.
