the machine has been moved from one house to another and we cannot allow it to spin as it bangs so much. should the drum move forwards and backwards?

its a very new machine so i hope it doent need to be replaced - how do i balance it?

i have no idea about the transport bolts! the drum is well loose tho.

It depends on the model. One of your support arms might be out.

you may have one of the springs that hold the tub in position came loose. sometime the bolt or screw holding them comes unattached allowing the tub to jump, you will have to remove the face of your wash machine, if like most machines a putty knife in the seam to undo the two clips on the top and then the front of the machine will open up, you should be able to see if springs are the problem.

Redistribute the clothing in the washer to balance the load at the beginning of the spin cycle.

The drum dampers came off the drum. Call a repair man.

was the drum locking bolts put in when you moved it ???

been there !!! left transport bolts in............. the machine washed ok when it came to spin WOW it was trying to take off
just check

it aint the washer ok

remember that the drum is a centerfuge... if it is not balanced, it will rattle till it breaks... your floor might not be balanced, or your loads might not be...


balance it. if it still has problems, then you might have a loose drum and need someone to fix it.... good luck

Mine did that and i had to get a new washer i'm afraid.The cost of a new drum and brackets made it not worth the while to get it repaired :(
