It may not be a carb problem, check and make sure ur air filter isn't dirty, check for intake leaks, the intake mounts between the carb and the engine might be loose, check the petcock on the gas tank, there is a filter screen in there that could be clogged, check the gas cap that the vent on the gas cap isn't clogged. if this all checks out, then remove the main float bowl jet, the big bottom plug on the bottom of the carb float bowl, and check if any dirt is in there, if that don't correct it, remove and disassemble the carb and clean it out using carb cleaner and compressed air, one tiny speck of dirt in the carb jets could cause that problem

Start it at 1 & 1/2 turns.
When the engine is warmed up to opperating temperature, turn the screw in and out to get the fastest idle.
Adjust the idle screw to normal idle speed and repeat the process again.
Then turn the screw in (clockwise) 1/2 turn.
