Unfortunately, yes. I weighed about 200 lbs in high school, and lost 70 lbs in my late teens to early 20s. For once, I got to be the star of the show, instead of the fat girl who everyone ignored. I am tall, 5'8." You don't know what it's like to be so ignored or even slammed and then to become so popular.

The school I went to was like a cross between "To serve them all our days" and " Good-bye Mr.Chips" intermingled with "Tom Brown's School-days"....English public schools LOL
