I think they do, but perhaps many don't want to in case they are thought of as weak.

Adults cry too, but depends what kind of pain. If you are asking an ordinary pain such as headache or stomach pain. Adult are more likely to cope the pain rather than crying. Children's cry coz the pain receptor in their body are few and cant take such a higher pain level.

I guess you haven't been in serious pain for awhile, lucky you.
My husband re-broke his arm and there was already a steel rod inside from his elbow to his wrist. He was playing soccer and slpipped, when he fell, he broke his arm at a very strange distorted angle, he was screaming in pain.If I had a gun, I would of shot him just to put him out of his misery.
My dad was a medic during WW11, he wouldn't say much about it without turning several shades of grey.I do know that many grown men do cry for their mommies when seriously hurt.I don't blame them at all.

I am a nurse my dear and I can assure you that adults DO cry with pain. Some are much worse than children.

Hunh?
I howl at the faintest whiff of pain and I am a very big grown up adult. And I still run for my mummy.

I think a childs nervous system is more sensitive because its still developing ( another good reason not to hit kids ).

I think it's that children have a lower pain threshold. They get attention when they cry. They may get treats e.g. lollies.
