1964 - not sure who the president is though.

We got our independence on 6th of july 1964 ,and the current president is Dr Bingu Wa Mutharika.The first president was Dr Kamuzu Banda,who was in power from 1964-1994.Next president was Bakili Muluzi untill 2004.

On July the sixth 1964. Dr Hastings Banda was the first President, a beautiful country.
