yes, I think so. I have some social anxiety, and I'm not terribly comfortable around groups of people. I'm not good at maintaining friendships, I need alot of "me time" and would usually much rather stay home then go to a party. But when I am in social situations, even just at work or school I talk to people alot, even starting many conversations. I am very open and have no problem disclosing personal information. People tend to like to talk to me too, and very often the shy quiet types are particularly drawn to me, and will confide in me things they do not share with other, after just meeting me. I know all this sounds quite contradictory, but its how I am, so I would guess I fit into both catagories.

Yes and yes. Watch out for the quiet ones.
The extroverts become tinier than a little mouse when you most expect them to be assertive. Why?
People will confound you and puzzle you to no end. There is no rhyme nor reason.
Its a wacky world.
