I would like to think so, but I doubt it. Though it is a step in the right direction but I think it is like a chain reaction with my Bears.. let me explain...
QB is not the only issue this season, I really don't like how our O line is doing business. Anytime your O Line is not playing well.. your RB will not produce, your QB has to pass more.. which will produce more sacks because of the weak O line, Turner play calling will be too predictable, and you became limited on offense. Since the offense is not producing, your defense will be spending more time on the field, meaning they will be over worked and they will have higher risk of injury.. just refer to Dallas game.
So in order for the Bears to go anywhere this season, the O line needs to play better.

No Brian Griese cannot take the Bears into the playoffs. If the Bears get into the playoffs it will be because their defense led then there and the running game was good enough to control the clock. The Best thing that Brian Griese can do for the Bears is not lose games. If he can do that and the Bears can start playing better on both sides of the ball and get healthy they have a chance.
If Griese's performance didn't shed some light on the Bears problems against a horrible Lions defense nothing will. The Bears flat out stink on offense. They can't run the football, can't protect the QB and their recievers are still not doing enough to finish their routes. Griese had a couple of good drives but then threw 2 picks in the redzone and had a pick six. More importantly he showed that his decision making is not as good as many would have believed and did not look that much better than Rex. Griese is not the answer and only prolongues the misbelief that the Bears might be able win with their current format. They can't (not consistently anyway) It is time for the Bears to start considering either going back to Grossman and letting him attempt to gut it out and hope to see some improvement. Griese has no upside, Rex might just have a little. It is either that or consider seeing what Orton is capable of contributing. Either option the Bears have is a concession that the Bears are not a serious contender, so you might as well go with the young guys over the aging vet.

YES. They got to the Superbowl with a subpar rookie Quarterback. They'll DEFINATELY make the Superbowl with a subpar VETERAN Quarterback.

without Rex, any QB can lead the Bears into the playoffs....as long as there are few turnovers, solid leadership, and patience.

Hopefully he'll stay away from the booze. This has been his main problem in the past.
