I'm moving from Montana to Boston and looking for a cheap way to move my mattress, as it will not fit inside of my car which I'm driving cross country with the rest of my possessions any suggestions?

The mattress I have is brand new, haven't even made a payment on it, but I'm relocating due to my job. I have found a few options, but the mattress is over $600, so giving it away isn't really an option.

I agree with William B. Moving expenses will be horrible and when you get to Boston, you'll find the streets are smaller and confusing and you won't want to have to deal with transporting a mattress yourself. Especially not having to hike up a million teeny-weeny stairs!
There are tons of mattress stores all around. Try Bob's Discount and check out his "Pit" That's where they put all the closeouts at reduced prices. Or Marden's Surplus. We got a full sized extra long for $90

Contact any local intercity/interstate moving companies going your way you may be able to get it moved at a reasonable price. Even if there is a bit of a delay but the price is right you can pick up a cheapo in the meantime

if you have to rent a truck just for one matress, you need to leave it behind and buy one when you get there. You'll spend as much on the truck as a new matress anyways.
