Economic Globalization examples are:
Wal-mart , MacDonalds, Subway, etc. on every damned street corner in the world.
how does this affect economics in other parts of the world? Well some would argue it provides jobs in places like India, China, etc. Remember however, they are crappy paying jobs. The reason why Wal-mart can offer you products for dirt cheap, is not because there is a fairy waving her magic wand somewhere creating Ipods out of thin air, but because workers are being paid ultra dirt somewhere, usually Asia.
What kind of affect does globalization have on other cultures? Well let's take Macdonald's for an example. Hello, they don't eat beef in India. What is MacDonald's all about? Beef. It's a very "Western" diet, Western packaging, presentation, and Western style of Marketing.
So as an Indian you can either ditch your own culture and eat a burger. Try not to eat at a Macdonald's at all. Though I'm sure at some point the presence of Macdonald's over there will be as bad cockroaches all over the world. Or hope that MacDonald's does something smarmy like offer A Big Lamb Mac instead.
I'm sure the money these corporations make in these countries line the pockets of politicians who will ignore the very notion of human rights in order to continue to provide these corps with slave labor. Take a look at Google in China, they're doing business with a country who happens to have some of the worst censorship laws in the world, and gross human rights violations. So much for believing in freedom, individual rights etc. All of that **** goes to the wayside when you're stroking the Chinese Government for $. Or ignore environmental standards. Hello, why do you think Nafta was passed? In order to avoid envi. standards here in the US. Same deal over there.
Organizations such as the WTO ( World Trade Organization) oppose globalization for many reasons, such as globalization ruins local economies ( by putting mom and pop businesses out of business, or even small firms out of business, thereby gaining near monopoly status). And it Homogenizes the world. McWorld baby, McWorld!
We're all one big fat Happy Meal! Same limp, soggy fries and all.

Globalization is the integration of economic, cultural, political, religious, and social systems reaching the whole world and practically all human beings.
There are several definitions, many of which mention the increasing connectivity of economies and ways of life across the world. While some scholars and observers of globalization stress convergence of patterns of production and consumption and a resulting homogenization of culture, others stress that globalization has the potential to take many diverse forms.
In economics, globalization is the convergence of prices, products, wages, rates of interest and profits towards developed country norms. Globalization of the economy depends on the role of human migration, international trade, movement of capital, and integration of financial markets. The International Monetary Fund notes the growing economic interdependence of countries worldwide through increasing volume and variety of cross-border transactions, free international capital flows, and more rapid and widespread diffusion of technology. Theodore Levitt is usually credited with globalization's first use in an economic context.

Princess Diana’s death is probably the clearest example of globalization.
An English princess with an Egyptian boyfriend crashes in a French tunnel, driving a German car with a Dutch engine, driven by a Belgian who was drunk on Scottish whisky, (check the bottle before you change the spelling) followed closely by Italian Paparazzi, on Japanese motorcycles; treated by an American doctor, using Brazilian medicines. This is sent to you by an American, using Bill Gates’s technology, and you’re probably reading this on your computer, that use Taiwanese chips, and a Korean monitor, assembled by Bangladeshi workers in a Singapore plant, transported by Indian lorry-drivers, hijacked by Indonesians, unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen, and trucked to you by Mexican illegals.....
