Maybe it fired up the Marlins enough that they will do everything they can to prevent the Mets from winning. Be careful what you wish for...
These guys are professionals - I would hope that they don't need some sort of Junior High School-type fight to get out there and do their jobs. If I was getting paid obscene amounts to play a game, I would hope that I wouldn't need anything to get me extra motivated.

I don't think so, the Mets rocking the Marlins 9-0 already. I think the Mets were nervous before the game, so when they were ahead by that many runs, they felt so much relief that Reyes said something Miguel Olivo didn't find appropiate, so the argument-fight started.

Yeah man...that and Maine's pitching got them amped. They better hope that carries over for the next couple of days. If they dont win tomorrow (against D-Train), they better the next couple of days...

nope, the mets just got lucky tonight, dont think they will win the division, it looks like its time to rebuild the team from the farm system.

wow if they needed that to be motivated then they shouldn't be playing at all. isn't getting to the playoff enough motivation? and LOL is the 161st game....little too late to be motivated dont you think?
