Heh, Heh, Heh. Kommandant. Quite right. This is the only business I know where consumers have no say whatsoever about the product they purchase. They just ram all the rubbish down our throats. Newcastle fans particularly season ticket holders should insist on a refund. If you went for a concert and the lead artist failed to appear or perform what will you do? If he consistently fails to perform what will you do? If he consistently fails to appear then what? They (the clubs) do not have an entertainment value contract with their fans and no one even remotely considers apologises. Slavery.

Far too much, but unfortunately due to market forces that's what they can earn. Huge wages means huge wage bills for the club and it's sponsors which are no doubt reflected in the huge tic kt prices.
There should be some sort of rule whereby you can reclaim your money if your team loses. Were else apart from betting could you waste £30 - £40 in one and a half hours.

who cares? if they didnt get the money the chairmen (rich business men) would.
people get so strangley communist when working class people get rich but noone cares when ultra rich people get richer but when a tiny minority of footballers make silly money it offends people.
to put it simply we live in a capitalist society, its supply and demand,if the players didnt get the extra money the fat ***** upstairs would get more, the ticket prices would never go down as they sell out every week.
and i know some people are going to compare nurses wages on here but that misses the point,i think footballers are generally morons and hold no love for them (tho i love the game) but i say good luck to em,also it ****** off rugby union fans which is always a good thing.

roy keane before he hung his boots up was on something like 60,000 a week, thats as a centre midfielder. i know ipswich and norwich top players were on 2,000 a week about 5 years ago. so it varies from team to team. what i find ludicrious isn't the wages its when a footballer has to train 3 times a week and they complain about exhaustion or can't play because they hurt their big toe. i dropped a breezeblock on my shin in work last week, the water was turned off on site so i had to clean the cut with water i found in a bucket. 10 minutes later i was back to work. no doubt if it happened to golden balls beckham he'd be carried off on a stretcher being fanned with ostrich feathers.

Some teams operate a salary cap but it's stilla stupid amount of money.According to Wiki Wayne rooney earns over £51,000 a week but I thought I'd seen that it was £85,000.Not bad considering 5yrs ago he was on £80 a week.
