Your green puffer needs to be in a tank of it's own. He needs marine salt, at a level (at least eventually) that most of the other fish won't be able to tolerate. Even the ones that could tolerate the salt shouldn't be kept with puffers - as they mature they'll be aggressive and eat the fins of the others in the tank.

The amount of salt that's needed will depend on the age of your fish. I'm assuming that the one you have is still a juvenile, so start by adding a tablespoon of salt per gallon of water in the tank(dissolve this in water before you add it to the tank) over the next few days, then add another tablespoon per gallon each following week until you get the salinity to 1.015 (you'll need to buy a hydrometer to measure this). When you do water changes, you'll also need to add the salt to the replacement water, so keep track of the amount of water removed, and the number of tablespoons of salt per gallon currently in the tank so you add back the correct amount.

A green puffer is NOT a safe fish for many of the breeds you named. kissing gourami, mollys, angelfish, cichlids, platys, gouramis will all either kill the puffer or vice versa.

Ok the salt issue. Aquarium salt (it can be bought at most stores such as Target, Kmart or pet stores). 1 Tbspn per 5 gallons.

Most fish will do well with this amount of salt (molly and platy can take a touch more if you really want to - but the same amount is fine)

I hope this helps and good luck!

Salt Puffer

Your first problem is that it won't touch fish flakes... GSPs are carnivores, and will only accept frozen (if you're lucky) or live food. You're gonna need some frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp, which you'll probably need to use a turkey baster to feed. Puffers in general are very aggressive, and intolerant of most things that move. Since GSP need brackish water (NOT freshwater), you'll need brackish fish. Bumblebee Gobies work well, as they draw very little attention to themselves.
