Yup, I hear it every day. My doctor does not expect premature labor, so I don't either. I do, however, expect a lot more comments. I am 35 weeks and have gained the same amount of weight (or did 2 weeks ago at my last appointment) and am normally very small.

i was 16 when pregnant and was 5.4 and about 9 stone then oh i wish i was still that now lol. and i went into prem labour at 26 weeks they managed to stop contractions with meds drugs etc but at 27 weeks i had my little girl 2lb 1oz shes now 10 years old doing well it is true those at risk are young, smokers or are underweight. they never fount out what caused me to go into prem labour but i guess it was because i was so young

It is only common to go into labor early if you were underweight pre pregnancy and stayed underweight. Your weight gain is good, and as long as you stay healthy, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Sorry...old wives tale. Every body is different, every pregnancy is different. You will go when that baby is ready...and it has nothing to do with your size.
