HI It's me again. Usually you would keep them in the same tank....say like guppies...they live off of the algae that is all over the rocks and plants. You don't need any kind of special food for them. Just make sure you have a full spectrum light to give the algae chlorophyll to grow.

Pond snails love steamed green veggies in small amounts. They will also eat any bottom feeder food and\or algae in your pond. Just remember that snails need calcium to keep their shells strong and healthy!

Snails are like the guys that pick up you trash, they eat dead things like fish, or plants, even other dead snails, they will eat live plants including alage, or you can buy alage wafers at any pet store, they basicly keep the tank/pond clean.

They love blanched spinach, canned peas, and algae wafers, but they will eat anything,as they are scavengers in nature.I had a golden apple snail that would come to the top of the tank and take spinach from my hand,it was pretty cool.
