In high school most of my teachers seemed to be boring rather than nasty. There were a couple really scary ones in elementary school though. Nearly all of my college professors have been awesome, but there was actually one uber-nasty prof-- truly a legend in his own mind.

I am a teacher and I know I am nice, educated and intelligent. Not nasty. Maybe because I am in elementary school. Nasty are in high school?

Ah memories...
I had two miserable men who called themselves teachers one year. The best was when randomly the two of them had a huge fight in the hall. Screaming and yelling at each other and they were threatening to beat each other up. Great role models huh.

Mr. Skoko, the English teacher. He said I shouldn't even bother to take the AP English test. I showed him...and got a 4!
Maybe that was his strategy all along...?

Yes, I've had a few. One of my , um, lesser character traits is becoming more taciturn the more I am attacked. It becomes a battle of wills, my side silent but entrenched, their side usually more vocal and confrontational. It doesn't make for a pleasant classroom experience.

No, but had one in jr high. Of course when I went to school corporal punishment was still common. This jerk had a paddle with DISCIPLINE written on it and holes in it to help leave bigger welts. I think he just got off on beating kids.

Not nasty, but whiny. A sixty something year old that lived with his mother and told us (students) all about his personal life. What's up with that???

Actually, I once had a teacher who was one of my dad's teachers too...for some reason she hated my dad and she hadn't forgotten...she had made my life miserable...thank god the next year she retired but because of her I never learned ancient Greek...
