Ok well is this guy a lesbian then or a straight female in a mans body? I mean it doesn't really matter except if you're asking how I would feel about dating someone like this. Also I don't know that all transvestites are transgendered. Is this a preop tranny or postop? Are they even getting an operation. I knew a man that told everyone he was a psuedo hermaphrodite and wanted to be called Kaitlin. Everyone that met her thought she was a man and she corrected them. I slept with her and she had a penis. I respected her wishes to live and be known as a female despite her penis. If someone wants to be female and has male parts what business is of mine to correct them. Only they can know what's right for them.

I feel that it is totally okay. I also believe that he could be right. He could be wired like that. I also believe that gay people are usually born gay....Why would they pick that?? Gay people get harassed and what not why would you pick that for yourself. I think if a man want to be a cross dresser...more power to him. I would even let him borrow my cloths. Same thing with a transvestite....if that's what they need to do go for it. BUT I believe that before you get into a relationship you need to tell the person what you are. Like say a guy starts dating this "woman" and finds out this woman is actually was a man or still is a man...its not okay to deceive a person like that. They need to be straight up and tell them who they are and if the other person doesn't except it...they shouldn't be with that person anyway.

I've never actually had a man tell me any of those things. I don't feel attracted to crossdressers or transvestites, but I don't lose respect. If a guy I was dating told me he liked crossdressing, I would probably stop dating him to be honest. I would still be his friend, though.

:) Ok you say all those like they are the same category. I have a dear friend who is a crossdresser and happily, definitely male.
And transexuals, transvestites, crossdressers are all just people to me; individually I might like or dislike. As groups, I'd tend to defend them as I am aware that they get a lot of abuse.

Well, I think it all depends on how it's presented. If a man digs dressing in women's clothes, I'd rather he was upfront about it, and is able to temper the blow with humor. Think Eddie Izzard! If a man just all of a sudden comes out of left field after two years of dating with something like that, I would be extremely pissed. I would suggest to anyone that feels that way to be honest as soon as possible, in order to give the woman he is dating the option to make the decision whether to leave or stay, before she becomes too emotionally invested.

This is not something that they have a choice in. They were born that way and it is very difficult for them and for those that finally come out and make the change, I say good for them!! We should all embrace who we are for what we are and not for what people think we should be.
We all need to learn to be a little more tolerant and whole lot more accepting...

It's a difficult situation for that person, but the last thing they need is pity. They're a human being just like everyone else. It doens't make that much difference to me. That isn't what is important to me.
