i liked reasonable doubt better, illmatic seemed too ghetto/old school

Old school rap is only interesting to me like, one a month on the radio, and when it's on I never really listen to it, I just kinda feel cool cause it's old school. Sounds like something you'd get high to.

Reasonable doubt however was more of just straight up rap, unique to Jay-z, lots of different good songs with different styles. Take for example, Feelin' It, easily one of my favorite rap songs. Then add Regrets, completely different, but just as good

In illmatic...I guess one love is my fav cause it's got a cool catch phrase.

Illmatic lyrically few have even came close to f cking with it since even Nas himself, and beat wize you had primo, chocolate boy wonder, large pro classic!!! but Reasonable Doubt was classic too, Jay-Z's best by far, the only full albums by Jay-Z that are tight from start to finish in my opinion are Reasonable Doubt(1996), In My Lifetime(1997), Vol. 1, and The Blueprint(2001)
