ps3 sucks *** its been having more unresolved problems then the 360 . Also its just a more expensive nock off the xbox just cause it has blue ray which the movies in blue ray r pointless and expensive!!! The xbox 360 rocks and you should really get it,it has many amazing top rated games (ex halo) , amazing graphics n controls which r great, better controlers then the ps3 which just kept the old gay design which hurts ur hands. Also not only can u easily play games n watch movies u can also play w others on live, rent new movies w points, watch trailers,tv episodes,get free arcade games, but u can also customize like everything on ur profile n desktop and listen to music while playing any game!!!! Thats my fav feature:)

NO if i were i you i would get a wii because the ps3 has few games compared to the wii and 360 and the 360 justs sucks you need to but another hardware to play dvd's that sucks sao get a wii you could use it for excercise hehe

ps3 is BETTER FOR MANY MANY reasons
i'll list some of the reasons
- ps3 has a built-in blu-ray player
- ps3 has much more and better exclusives, most of them cant go to xbox 360 because it cant handle that many data(DVD- 8.5gb, blu-ray 50gb)
- online is free for ps3 not like 360
- ps3 will have over 300 games released by this spring
- when developers get used to the system, the graphics will be WAY better than 360. should take them a year to get used to it
- playstation home is coming out this spring, its a virtual community where you can hang out with friends and customize your own apartment which xbox doesnt have(FREE)
- ps3 is a true HD console. xbox 360 upscale games to 1080p and ps3 DISPLAY games up to 1080p
- built in Wi-Fi
- xbox 360: 33% hardware failure
ps3: 3% hardware failure
- rumble returns in spring 2008
- you can upgrade your harddrive without voiding warranties with any 2.5 HDD, which xbox cant because you have to buy a xbox HDD
(they actually have the step by step on how to upgrade it on playstation.com)
those are the ones that i know right off my mind but there are much more reason than this
Prices as of today:
ps3- 80gb: $599
60gb: $499
xbox 360(premium)- $399 (if you want the accessories that ps3 comes with, that would add up to over 700 dollars)

Graphics are stronger in PS3, due to RSX chip, that was developed by Nvidia exclusively for PS3. To estimate its power (roughly) - take 8600 nvidia graphics card, multiply it by 2 - get a result, still PS3 stronger, because 8600 Ultra runs on 400 Mhz and RSX runs on 550 Mhz.
PS3 has a chip from AGEIA company. It does to physics of the game same thing GPU (videocard processor) does to graphics. This card is on sale for PC. The price is around 350$.
Xbox 360 is widely known for so-called "red ring of death" problem - it gets overheated easily. My PS3 was running for more than 8 hours non-stop with no problems. Sometimes Xbox 360 becomes so overheated, that thermopaste on CPU melts, drips on motherboard and successfully shortcircuits it.
Besides all of this, I've seen disassembled Xbox 360 - regular PC architecture - Billy Gates is an uninventive nerd (as usual).
When I saw disassembled PS3 - it was a surprise - smart architecture, good cooling (don't buy external PS3 coolers - they make everything worse - original system is good), etc.

In some countries people call Xbox 360 "Coffin 360".
The funniest thing, that right now there are no games for PS3, that show full potential of the console.

I didn't mention Wii, because it's so weak, no point to talk about it.
