There have been times that I felt completely alone in a crowd, but they were times when I was experiencing crisis and was just down.

Once you begin to enjoy your own company, you're never alone. Being lonely and feeling as if you don't belong in a particular place is very different.

i can be surrounded by a swarm of people and yet feel like im alone. its not the best feeling in the world, but it happens.
