Actually it was God's idea. In the very beginning man was to tend to the garden and the animals. After the fall of man part of the punishment was labor that makes you sweat and women's was birth being painful. In the 10 Commandments the 4th one is actually two commands. Work 6 days and rest one. The Bible also says the sleep of a working man is sweet. Work is very good for self-respect and good mental health. People need constructive things to do. I don't believe Mother's should work away from their babies though. There is plenty of work looking after the little ones. If they poured as much time into their babies as they did their jobs, this would be a much better world. Can you picture our young people today running this world? Kinda scary in a way huh. Ahh for the patriarchy to be revived would be great. Mmm

"Ideal minds breeds discontent..."

I'm not sure where that phrase came from but it could something I warped into my meaning.

I think the "brilliant idea" to keep us working was developed by wealthy individuals that wish to "play" instead of work and in order for that to "work" a lot of other people have to work.... or something like that...

Just a thought... why else would anyone want to do things we do on a daily basis...

Although, there's that civilization building aspect and betterment for mankind thing but NO it was the "Man's" idea to keep us poor working stiff's busy so we wouldn't see what we were missing out on and wouldn't be "trying' to get what he/she's got...

p.s. best Mel Brooks movie was Young Frankenstein... Blazing' Saddles was a Pryor/Brooks movie and that is in a categorie of it's own.

It was when Adam and Eve ate the apple from the forbidden tree. Eve's sin made women give birth and Adam's sin made man work for a living.
