No you cannot see the bits left behind on the Moon, no telescope is powerful enough. The bits left behind are too small and too far away.
There is plenty of evidence that those who say the Apollo landing did not happen are at best wrong and at worst deliberately lying to sell cheap and nasty TV shows and books. They are either deluded or they are liars, cheats and frauds.
If the Moon landings in 1969 and later had been faked thousands of scientists and radio experts around the world would have known straight away. Specially the Russians, but also Germans, French, Spanish, Australians, British, you name it.
Not everyone who worked on Apollo was a US citizen, I know one Australian who was in on it and there were many more. Most of the staff of the ground stations in Australia were Australians, there were also ground stations in Spain.
Almost anyone who was good with tools and had a bit of money could build a suitable antenna and tune a suitable radio into the transmissions from the Moon. There is nothing secret about the construction of such antennas, I have a book on it right here.
The astronauts brought back hundreds of pounds of Moon rocks which were analysed by scientists all over the world. Not all of them were US citizens either. If those rocks had been faked those scientists would have seen it. In any case, the Russians also returned Moon rocks to Earth in three unmanned probes and published the analysis results. The American samples were consistent with the Russian ones.
In addition, the ages that were determined for these rocks were (and still are) older than all rocks found on Earth except for meteorites.
President Nixon. a Republican, began to cut NASA funding in 1968, the year before the first mission. The mission went ahead because the equipment had been built and the people had been employed and trained. The Apollo program was a Democrat project. Later the program came to an end because the US public lost interest, when that happened, funding dried up still further and NASA could not afford to send any more. No bucks, no Buck Rogers.
This site is devoted to the mostly Australian men and women at the Honeysuckle Creek tracking station in Australia which received some of the Apollo transmissions. You can hear one man talking directly to the astronauts on the Moon.

xAbbox doesn't have a clue. There are several web sites which will utterly debunk every single claim ever made about the moon landings being hoaxed. It is not only stupid for people to assert this, merely on the basis of typically ridiculous documentaries and fraudulent claims disseminated by Fox, but it is lazy and insulting as well. Lazy because all you have to do is visit any of the sites which deal specifically with those claims. Insulting because of the thousands of dedicated and talented people who worked so hard to make this dream come true, including the three Apollo astronauts who lost their lives for the cause.
No telescope on earth can see anything left on the moon. (Sorry Doug and Tracy, but not true. Even Hubble can't see anything that was left.) There was a mirror left there, though, for research purposes. Scientists in labs here on earth routinely bounce powerful laser beams off of it and time how long it takes for the reflection to return.
Phil Plait's web site covers it pretty well, but there are others. Not one single claim of the conspiracy nuts stands up to scrutiny. See for yourself.

once you seem on the full Moon, you spot a tiny bit greater advantageous than 40 9% of it (50% is the theoretical decrease in case you think approximately the gap too super to be a piece). If 2 (or 3) people be conscious the Moon on the comparable time, yet from very distinctive positions in the international's floor, they are able to work out (putting their photographs jointly) a splash over fifty two%. with the aid of assessment, a 0.33 is purely 33%. With libration, over long sessions of time, we are able to work out virtually 60% of the Moon's complete floor. while the Moon seem "0.5" lit, we call the section "Quarter Moon" because of the fact this occurs while the Moon is 1 / 4 of ways around its orbit.

Your friend is not too smart. There's many reasons why we haven't gone back in 30 yrs. 1) the cold war/space race between the USSR and the USA is over 2) There's not much there. It's void of anything but rock and dust. 3) It's really, really expensive 4) Better research can be conducted on shuttle missions and the International Space Station.

I don't know if you've been there, but I know I never have. So I guess "we" never went to the moon.
But the United States went there.
There are people who deny that. But there are also people who think that the world is flat, and man is the only intelligent creature in the universe. I guess that last contentions belies itself.
And, no... there isn't a telescope anywhere capable of making out the flags our US missions left there.

i don't know if you can see the flag and so on, maybe so. but i do know that you can bounce a laser off the mirrors that the astronauts left behind - if you have access to a laser that powerful! whatever, if you really want to believe it was fake you can always find a way. it's a conspiracy man...

We went to the moon. I understand your question because there are people that believe in the conspiraciy theory. But if you did believe that we didn't go to the moon the first time, there is documented evidence that we have gone five other times.
Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_Moon_Landing_hoax_accusations
it's pretty interesting if you get into the whole conspiracy theory. Also you should look up other conspiracy theories, some will actually make you think "how much do I really know my government".

You think that this country was in fierce competition with the Soviet Union to pull a hoax? Next we'll have skeptics claiming that the moon really is made out of green cheese. It seems ironic that most people don't doubt religion, where there are no photographs, only drawings by artists.

Every Apollo crew that landed on the moon left reflectors. Lasers are routinely shined on those lasers to measure the earth to moon distance. All the fake pictures in the universe can place reflectors on the moon so give it up.
