there's this guy who i work with who always talks to me and i feel as if we're friends. however, i asked him tonight was we friends and at first he said yeah but then after that he said we're close work associates............then he said don't get it twisted...........so i still don't know the answer to the question..........what do yall think? do you think i should ask for a clarification?

there is a difference between work relationships and friends, friends you can call on anytime and work relationships are only at work. just as there is a difference between a friend and a buddy. a buddy you might have a drink with or catch a game with but would they go see you in the hospital? a friend would.

no they are not. never tell them to much about yourhome or antyhign .sometimes it can be used against you especially at work. i would just keep a nice relationship but not too firendly its never good like even with neighbors also. don't be silly and hen get taken take care.

i think what he's saying is, not to get work mates mixed up with friends. so i think he's saying no.
if he's a friend you would have hias number and talk otside of work and catch up. he's just a work mate if it doesnt continue after your shift ends..
i have many "friends" at work, but their not frineds outside of work cos we never talk unless its during work hours..
if you want it to go further you need to get in contact and hang out with him during the weekends or something..

Why should you ask him if you are friends? friendship come automatically without asking, probably he took that as a dumb quation.
