He isn't the main singer unless he's doing his solo stuff, but I've met Captain Sensible (The guitar player for The Damned) in 2001

George Hamilton IV who is a Gospel singer. I met him twice,
got his autograph--which I still have--and my picture taken
with him. He is a very humble man and very nice. I have
seen many others in person but didn't get to meet them as
they were large concerts. We also met the INK SPOTS.
We got their autographs and pictures. Really nice guys.

Oh, sure...
My favorite is my Steven Tyler story.
Once, many years ago (1982-83), I was at a meet and greet backstage for Aerosmith. I was, ahhh, "faded" (to say the least) - and when it was my turn to meet Steven Tyler, I MARCHED up to him, stuck my finger IN HIS FACE (my friend said she was surprised I didn't end up with boogers on my finger!) and said to him in a REALLY LOUD VOICE - "YOURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRE STEVEN TYLER! AND *I* HAVE TO PEEEEE!" - turned around and walked away, leaving the room in hysterical laughter.
I had the good fortune to meet Steven again last year at another M&G, and I told him the story... HE laughed and said "Gosh, I wish I remembered that!" - and I confessed that *I* didn't remember it either, that my friends told me about it when I'd sobered up. We shared a laugh and a hug, and he went on to knock out yet another AMAZING show here in San Diego... Steven is a SWEETHEART with a GREAT sense of humor. :)
So the moral is - no matter how MORTIFIED you are at the time of the incident, time is your friend. You WILL be able to laugh at it someday. ;)
