Yes, you can recover them even though you deleted them from your recycle bin, as long as the files have not been overwritten by other save operations.

Here's what I mean: windows only marks a file as deleted, but doesn't actually delete it. It just tells the hard drive that the file can be overwritten.

But until it actually gets overwritten, then it can be recovered... which is great news in your case (and was great news in my case recently when I thought I had lost a year's worth of family pictures).

Check out a program called File Recover (link below). It will scan your system and show you the files that have not been overwritten (even files that have been deleted from the recycle bin) and will let you recover them.

Assuming you have a PC, you really can't, unless you only put them in the trash. If they're in the recycling bin just drag them out and you should be all set.

If you deleted them out of the trash too, well sorry but there's nothing you can do except beg your friends for CD's or to send you stuff over AIM or another messenger.

YES you can! There are several programs you can use, and a computer programmer can help you if you absolutely have reached your breaking point and think you have crashed to the limit.! I thought i had and had even reformatted like 5 times and STILL this great small town guy got all my stuff back...took me a LONG time, but he only charged me 86 bucks.

Theres a program called undelete and undo and several others. ASK or go to BLINGO

any purchased songs should be backed up on CD or DVD.

If you have the bought songs on an iPOD, iTUNES will automatically ask if you want to download the songs back to your computer if they are missing.

Rhapsody allows 2 downloads if a song is lost.
Napster must have a back up policy
Where did you purchase these songs?
If its a CD, just rerip them.

I don't suppose you have backups.

There are undelete programs, I like the one by the folks who make Diskeeper:
