i have tried to find software for my printer lexmark x 2480 but in vain ..

Go onto The Lexmark Website And See If there If A Download On There For That Particular Printer

I get results for a Lexmark 2480, but not an X2480. If your printer is very old, drivers may no longer be available.

Unless you have ink cartridges already, don't even bother. The cost of ink cartridges for this thing is worth 3X what the printer is worth. Just buy a cheap canon or brother or epson inkjet printer that uses ink tanks, which is way better than what you got, and then buy generic ink TANKS for it. In the long run you will save money and get better results.

I think you couldn't download it but just o to control pannel and go to printer and other software. then click to add printer.
If your it not on te list, just look in your printer's documentation
