Definitions vary a bit. Gamma rays are high energy photons but just how high? One way of making a distinction is to say that gamma rays are high energy photons that come from transitions between energy levels inside the nucleus of an atom. X-rays are high energy photons that come from transitions between energy levels of electrons outside the nucleus. The thing is that some nuclear transitions are lower in energy than some electronic transitions so some gamma rays can be lower in energy than some X-rays. In general though gamma rays are higher in energy than X-rays.

(1)Gamma rays are elctromagnetic radiations like visible light or x-rays but their wavelength are smaller than x-rays.
(2)Gamma rays are not deflected by electric or magnetic fields and hence they do not carry any charge.
(3)They produce ionisation but the ionisation power is small.
(4) Gamma rays are highly penetrating.They can penetrate through many centimeters length of lead.
(5)Gamma rays affect photographic plates and cause fluorescence in materials.
(6) They travel with the velocity of light.
(7) Gamma rays are very harmful to human tissues.
(8) Gamma rays produce photoelectric effect when they are incident on solid surfaces.

Hi. As energy is increased in the electromagnetic spectrum the wave length becomes shorter. Gamma rays have a VERY high energy, so they have a very high frequency. Gamma rays are generally characterized as EMR (Electromagnetic Radiation), having the highest frequency and energy, and also the shortest wavelength, within the electromagnetic radiation spectrum, for example, high energy photons. Due to their high energy content, they are able to cause serious damage when absorbed by living cells.

Gamma rays have the shortest wave length and you cannot see them. They stronger than X-rays.

The very shortest wavelength (and, therefore, the highest energy) photons in the electromagnetic spectrum. They're generally believed to be one of the products of a supernova and are also emitted by gasses swirling down a spiiral vortex into a 'black hole'
Fortunately, there aren't a lot of them zipping around as they're kinda dangerous to larger molecules (DNA, protiens, amino acids, etc.)
