Both of these are good for removing spyware. Both are free.
Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free.

Download AVG Anti-Spyware
Its Far More Effective Than SpybotAnd Ad-Aware Combined

For The First 30 Days It'll Offer Full Protection Such As A Resident Shield.
After The Trial Period The Resident Shield Will Be Disabled

Well, you may need a more aggressive anitspyware program. The are some that penetrate deeper into your system. In addition you should scan your computer in safe mode. Sometime security software like advast can't terminate live files that have been loaded during startup. Take a bunch of free scans with a couple of good antispyware programs. The page below will provide will a couple of really powerful ones. Hope this helps!

A-Squared:

Ewido (Now called AVG Anti-Spyware) do not download AVG anti-virus.

All the above have a free edition, that's probably what you will want to download.

Avast is okay but adware is not so suitable. Better you download AVG 7.5 Free edition and install it. Then restart your PC in safe mode and scan your computer, Delete all viruses and reboot your pc normally.

do what i did...
download a free trial version of norton antivirus. get rid of your threats, then uninstall it. after that, search windows explorer for any kernels of the antivirus and delete them so you can do it again if it happens again. (trial software leaves behind traces of your downloads so that you can't re do this, but by searching for "norton" or something similar you can get rid of them and re do it if it comes back). if norton cant get rid of them, try spybot search and destroy but warning this takes a long time.

If you can identify the malware use the first link. If not seek help and use the second.
