This moron wanted to know how to financially profit from people in poverty. I told this person, that that is a sick question, but as an optimistic person, this person could help out those in poverty by donating there time to help them, etc. so he/she could feel good about himself.
So, yes I gave it my all, as I do with all questions - points don't matter to me.

I always try to offer something, even if it's just an opposing viewpoint to something that's been posted. However, if the correct answer has been posted and there is no additional info I feel is germane, I pass. I don't pay attention to points.
Last question answered was about getting answers to "Code of the Day" contests; before that, additional info to a question about Radio Disney in Iowa. Pretty lame. But I have also answered some serious questions and helped some folks out today with legitimate questions that were where they belonged and had a point.
I helped a member understand copyright law and royalties: both of which are big topics right now.
But I fully understand your point. Sometimes I am tempted to violate every off-topic question just because of the waste of time and bandwidth. But then you think, "Well, maybe they really didn't know, and I can help set them straight. Then they'll comeback with a legitimate on-topic question."
I never resort to name calling or calling a question stupid. "...there are NO stupid questions - just stupid mistakes made because a question wasn't asked."

The last time I answered a question just for the two points without really addressing the question someone reported me and I lost 12pts.

I always try to answer each question as honestly as I can! Some answers only need a one word answer but some need a paragraph!!!! Ive never just did it for quick points!

I don't really care about the points (if i cared I would stop asking questions).... the question was something like "Did you ever have those moements where you neede to talk to someone?"
