i cannot beleve there are so many stars and galaxies as scientists tell.

personally i think all telescopes are bunch of toys taking fake pictures. there are only 5000 stars in universe and they're fixed to solid firmament as mentioned in Genesis.

solar system is a lie and earth is flat immobile circle.

please take bible literally or you are a fool. scientists should grow up too.

Here is the answer to you question. (13. And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15. And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.)

You are joking of course.

If you are not joking - get this. People that say the USA never landed men on the Moon, that the Earth is 6000 years old or maybe a bit more, those that say evolution does not happen and those that say the Earth is flat are one of three things -

1. They are deluded and possibly neurotic or psychotic

2. They are ignorant, possibly of lower than average intelligence and have been carefully deceived by the third class who -

3. Are liars who make money out of the first two types. That's right, I said fundamentalist leaders are liars or are crazy. Some are both liars and crazy.

You know better than that.

You can count more stars than that yourself. Go to one of the rest stops along I-25 in Colorado some winter night, and start counting the stars. You'll get to five thousand before you've left one corner of the sky.

The Bible did its best to explain things as people saw them. Today's defenders of the literal Bible are not particularly religious or righteous, but simply sort of dumb: they cannot wrap their minds around very large numbers or very large spaces. Nor are they very good at the small ones, or at irrational numbers and other oddities of mathematics.

There are probably those who will deny that we can really manufacture an object containing a universe of two million microscopic transistors in a space the size of a flea's shadow. But we do. We've seen the earth from afar, and it's just a small green dot. God had better things to do than to worry about us, so here we are, pretty much on our own.

Are you still in kindergarten? If you don't believe in science then you should take off all your clothes and go live in a cave. If you are living in a cozy house then you are using a lot of inventions that scientists made. You shouldn't take any medicines nor eat cooked food or anything that science had to do with. You need to grow up and get with the program or you will be adding to the ignorance and stupidity.

And what is on the other side of this flat circle? Tree roots? We have planes which are quite capable of travelling over any world edge. Even Flat-Earthers must travel overseas occasionally.
Remember, people didn't realise that other continents existed, but then ships were built which travelled to them, and kept going around the world.
If you have to deny basic, visible evidence to justify your belief in God, then you should really take a good look at your religion.

Are you serious? I was a B52 Pilot in the Air Force and flew a mission of 14000 miles, at an altitude of 40,000 feet. I could see the curve of the Earth and I never saw the edge. Grow up.

I refuse to argue or debate 'beliefs'. Your beliefs are -yours- and I completely support your right to have them and discuss them with others of a similar mindset. I will even go so far as to put my little monkey αss in harms way to defend your right to do so (and I have a few times in the past). But don't try to tell me that -your- beliefs are the only ones that make sense. If you do, you will find yourself in a battle of wits with very little ammunition because I will defend
-my- rights to hold -my- beliefs every bit as vigorously as I'll defend yours.

Satan doesn't exist. The only Satan I've ever known was my father-in-law's cat. He didn't care much about astronomy so it wasn't him fooling around with all of the telescopes.

Wait a few years, then read this question again. Like most of us, you'll be embarrassed by some of the things you said when you were young.

i'm with you. to me the stars are holes punched in black fabric and the light is God shining thru. the earth was created before the sun and moon so the the universe is earth-centric. we could go on and on. science is obviously the devil's way of distracting people from the truth of God.
