How many of you share your intense political interests with your loved ones? Are you the only one among your family, including spouses, or friends who is really so interested in politics that you visit this site at least once a day? Or do you generally hang around with politically active people on a regular basis? Just curious, thanks everyone!

LOL Get a grip, this isn't exactly rocket science. It's all connected, sorry to strain your brain with so many complicated confusing questions in a row. Hysterical :-)

I'm pretty involved in the local political scene. I'm involved with several organizations, have worked on campaigns, etc, etc. While I do have alot of friends with like beliefs I also have friends who do not share my beliefs and that's o.k. to. The idea is to continue the debate for the good of all Americans.

Spouse and I share similar interests in political issues.
Spouse is more into local government and I into national and international.
Visit YA pretty much daily, gravitate toward the politics section, trying to assess the tone of things with regard to Hillary.
Limited as it may be, I will be volunteering for the efforts to keep Hillary from residing at 1600 again.

My family all share the same views as I do but I am the only one that comes onto Yahoo Answers.
Generally I don't hang around with people, I am almost 60 yrs old and no longer have the desire to be out and about. I do a lot of research on politicians and subscribe to no particular party, though I consider myself to be an Independent conservative.
I know that you favor Hillary, you probably know that I don't. Mostly I am tired of 28 years of a Bush or a Clinton being in the Whitehouse as either a Vice President (Bush Sr) or President and I do not want to see this streak extended another 4 or 8 years. If a we have to have a Democrat give me Biden.

I only discuss politics with certain family members and friends who share similar views. Otherwise it is a topic to avoid in polite conversation.
I have many friends who are politically active. For example, I am an ex-Officer of my state National Rifle association and Life Member

I don't like discussing politics other than online, and then sporadically.
Most people are not Noam Chomsky, or William F. Buckley.
Online at least you have a wider ready sample to choose from.
Also there's the immeasureable advantage of not having to actually see anybody.
So you won't be distracted by having to realize that the moron who's blathering on about how all the world's problems are caused by lack of "character," happens himself to be about fifty pounds overweight, divorced, alcoholic, addicted to oxycontin, given to hanging out in men's room looking the odd anonymous ******** in public, or what have you.

My 2 best friends and I talk about Politics CONSTANTLY...
Sometimes we find ourselves preaching to the choir and then the discussion dies out.
My mom and I have the same ideas politically - she was a hippie in the 60's...
My dad and I are similar but not exactly the same... he is a vet from vietnam so he is very interested in veterans affairs.
It's not that I don't care - but when you start focusing on the veterans you suddenly find yourself surrounded by nationalist republicans who are looking to drown you in yellow ribbons and "heroism" rhetoric...
My interests in politics are much more broad than anyone else I know in real life...
I am a gay buddhist democrat who is a recovering addict and believes in God... which sort of puts me in a category of my own...
I am also a graphic designer, writer and fine artist... so I have interests outside of politics and religion too...

I know quite a few people who are politically active. People from both sides of the fence. We can get into some heated discussions sometimes but we like each other afterwards anyways. I don't know anyone else who actually comes to Answers though.

I do not know if you consider me a "regular" but I will answer anyway.
I share my interest in politics with nobody around me. It is odd, but politics is the LAST thing brought up when I am talking to friends, or relatives. We are usually too busy doing other things to discuss politics. My friends and I agree politically, so any pol talks are usually brief.

My family loves to argue politics. It's the highlight of every holiday get together. Everyone from age 83 down to the youngest at age 18 gets into the debate. That's why I love it here so much
