The window motor works, just the cable broke. Is there any way to get a cable and not the whole thing? I called the dealer and they said no and wanted to charge $765.00 for a new set. We only paid 1500.00 for the car

Try a salvage yard, or e-bay. You may even be able to purchase one from an auto glass replacement business if that regulator was used in a lot of different models. Good luck with it.

If you have a near by glass/windshield shop they will be glad to find one for you if not check around at salvage yards.
