I disagree. I think that feminism Indirectly confronts the dominant culture and world view. If you agree with feminist goals of equality and social change than you may question the dominant view about the way many things in the world are or should be. You may have some very deep thoughts about the nature of society and how we percieve reality and create some of it.

I agree with it in theory. I believe that so long as Feminism is not corrupted by those with Their own agenda nothing but good can result. Those who have used the philosophies of the Feminist movement as a method of promoting misandry for the sake of Their own gender specific sexual gratification have a lot to answer for. Luckily for society these people are in the minority.

I understand what they are trying to say, but I think their comment is convoluted. I would have said, “Feminism directly addresses the idea that no one has the right to define others’ rights.”
I think to focus on one’s “reality” is addressing the wrong issues.

I disagree on the meaning, or the quote..
Feminism is different for each of us, the meaning/meanings is different for all of us too..

Disagree.
I think that much feminism challenges invidious distinctions and ideologically-loaded terminology, but I also think that many feminists want to impose their own definitions. So, I wouldn't say that feminism directly challenges the idea. Rather they fight fire with fire.

Why does it take two women to form a single quote?
Did they sing it as a duet?
It wasn't that complicated or abstract an idea that it would require a committee of two to craft.
But then, perhaps I'm just a lone shark.
Lone shark - hey - I made a funny!

To say that no one is "in charge" is to create anarchy. Someone has to define us. Someone has to tell us who we are. We're always defined by others. If we weren't, how would we know who we are? So I disagree with the statement.

Agree. They may be specifically speaking of sexist functional psychology, which, to paraphrase Betty Friedan, rejects "what is" in favour of "what should be."

Agree.
However it is going to be several decades before we might see a shift in attitudes.
