I was a cat person my whole life until my mom got a dog after I moved out. I've never not had a cat except for one year of my life after age 5. Five years ago I adopted the one she had when she passed away. Now I also have a large lab mix someone dumped. I am an equal lover now. Both really enrich my life. One Persian, one Shih Tzu and my huge Lab mix- I love them all!

Dogs, absolutely. No offense to the feline fanciers among us, but there are a number of reasons why I don't care for cats -- including that people let them out to roam at night and climb all over their neighbors' cars. Yeah, dogs -- but not if their owners let them sit in the yard and yap all night long.
