Yes he was great. Married to Edie Adams. I was in LA when he was killed, he ran into a telephone pole on a rainy day in Hollywood. In my opinion, no one these days matches the greats of yesteryear. But since I was there, I'm prejudiced of course.

I used to watch him and all of the other greats. Berle, Skelton, Benny, Lucy, Gleason, and a few others. They could be funny without being vulgar.

Yes I am that old. He was hilarious. I loved Ida Lupino and the gorilla trio.
