Target. Treats its employees better.

If someone, like a Walmart employee, doesn't have health insurance, (a) they wait to get medical care, till they are far sicker and have had more pain, have a worse prognosis and need more expensive care, (b) they end up going to the emergency room, which is the most expensive form of medical care, and (c) since they don't have insurance, they don't pay for it and Walmart doesn't, YOU, the tax payer and insured person, do.

Plus, though it might be more expensive -- Target has some cool things, products that are well-designed and well-made. And the stores are cleaner, the staff friendlier and more knowledgeable. All around, it's a less depressing experience.

Target. It's a little more expensive, but so much more convenient, its cleaner, and much quicker to get in and out. Our Walmarts here are pretty ghetto and they very obviously don't care about their employees or customer service.

Everything is cheaper at wal-mart. This is mainly because Wal-Marts distribution process is systematically set up for cost efficiency. When K-Mart was #1 and wal-mart didn't even exist, Sam Walton went to Benjamin Franklins (he owned a few of those stores) - he propsed a new distribution model with their own distribution centers and to locate stores in rural areas. They laughed at him - He opened up his wal-mart stores with his own distribution process and what do ya know? By 1990 they're worth 92 billion dollars! But, since Sam died, they changed their business and now have cheaper products made from people in other countries. Target is ok, but Wal-Mart is actually a great company! Haha.

WALLY WORLD!! Great store layout, great prices, and great company. My ex-wife worked there first as a cashier, then moved up to accounting office. I get tired of hearing people cry about how bad they treat employees-- everyone I know who works there thinks they are great!! Besides, if they knew of a better place to work, wouldn't they be working there?
