Singapore waters are always safe to drink straight from the tap. But don’t try to drink the tap water from Malaysia or Indonesia because their water is unsafe and taste nasty. At times, even at the hotels or resorts, when I turn on the tap, the water is BROWN! Imagine taking a shower in brown water!

Most hotel rooms have coffee and tea making facilities. So if you are scare, you can just boil the water before drinking.

By the way, have fun drinking Singapore tap water! LoL

Yes, you can safely drink the water in singapore without boiling.
But as others have cautioned, try to ascertain that the tap is clean. I drink straight from the tap all the time. The water is under strict quality control so no worries

depends on where the tap is located. i feel safe drinking water from my tap at home now because its in a nice little residental complex where the water tank/piping is regularly maintained. however i wouldnt drink running tap water from a very old building; the kind where you turn on the taps in the morning and it runs red for half a minute or so (which has happened to me). the water in singapore is definitely safe, but the pipes and tanks through which it passes thru may not be as clean (dirt, rust, etc)

you should boil your water first if in doubt,
or just buy a carton of mineral water.

"Can I drink water FROM THE TAP in Singapore?"

"Can I drink TAP water in Singapore?"

Yes, you can drink water directly from the tap in Singapore.

Actually, Singapore is very unique since it recycles its water. It is called "NEWater", and meets the drinking-water standards set by both the World Health Organisation and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

If you still have any doubts about the TAP water you drink - filter it, then boil it, and then drink it.

Its perfectly safe to drink directly from the tap in Singapore. The water has met WHO standards and is so clean we often joke that companies that sell pure drinking water actually just have taps to fill the bottles and tell them to tourist.

the water in Singapore is safe. You may even find it is safer then the water you usually drink. A large quantity comes from Malasia and is purified in Singapore. I drink it all the time when I am in Singapore.

Yes, you can drink the water directly from the Tap.

We also have a new Bottled Water from Recycled Waste Water called New Water!! All water from the drain, toilets, water recycling ponds is Diverted to a Recyling Plant where it is Filtered and out the other end is a Recycled Water called "New Water".

Believe me.. it's not New! Uuurgggghhhhh... Eeeeewwww!

yes, tap water in Singapore is safe for drinking but if you actually attach a water purifier to the tap, you can still filter out some stuff.

but those stuff won't harm. some bacteria makes us stronger right?
